It is hard to do something new. I tell my Mom “ I can’t do that,” when she asks me to pick up my toys or clean my room. I get upset because I don’t think I can do it.
Silva The Genie told me that I can do it. She told me I just had not learned about it yet. She said my mom, my teacher or she can teach me how to do it. Then I can do it on my own. Silva The Genie
was right. She showed me how to pick up my clothes and make my bed.
The next time mom asked me to clean up my room I say “ I can do it mom.”
At school I learned to raise my hand and ask a question if I do not know how to do something, then the teacher can teach it to me. That is how I learn and how you can learn lots of things too.
Now I just keep repeating: I can do it…. I can do it! (click on pic to view video)

When I was a kid I didn’t really look like my friends. Of course I had arms and legs and eyes and ears, but I my hair was dark and my eyes were brown and my skin was olive, so my friends used to think that I was from another place.
But I really wasn’t. My mom told me that that not all kids can look the same. Even better was when I found out we don’t act, think or feel the same because they come from different parents and sometimes different places. Each person is born with special gifts and talents so we can grow up as brilliant kids, with our own brilliant magic. There is a Genie inside every single one of us. It is important to find her, find your differences and your real self so you can discover what makes you special! Be proud of who you are!
